Make Better Days Happen

Maybelline and Ditch the Label hacking mental health with digital help.

Ditch the Label are a youth charity aimed at helping young people with their mental health through their innovative online platform. We needed a campaign that was disruptive in a space that was flooded with calls for help. It needed to resonate with young people, providing a sense of hope but maintaining it’s credability as a source of help for those struggling.

With the help of Ditch the Label, we cast six people who all had experienced their own mental health challenges. Led by spoken word artist and musician Dan Whitlam, who wove together our talent’s stories with Ditch the Label’s message of hope into a beautiful piece of spoken word.

Ditch the Label’s USP is using digital platforms to tackle mental health. To ensure the film felt like it could play in a tech focused space, we used motion graphics to illustrate not only to the way technology and social media can be harmful to our mental health, but also how it can be helpful.
